FAQs Online Counselling Psychologist
1) What is an online counselling psychologist?
A licensed mental-health professional who offers talk-therapy via secure video/phone. They help with stress, anxiety, relationships, sleep, and life transitions using evidence-based methods (CBT, ACT, mindfulness).
2) Is online therapy effective?
Yes. For many concerns, video/phone therapy is comparable to in-person care when delivered by a qualified professional. Severe crises require in-person, emergency support.
3) What concerns do you help with?
Anxiety & panic, work stress/burnout, relationship/communication issues, sleep problems, overthinking/rumination, adjustment & life transitions, and mild depressive symptoms. Couples therapy and (when appropriate) hypnotherapy are available.
4) Who is online therapy not suitable for?
If you’re at immediate risk of harm, in a medical/psychiatric emergency, or require intensive/urgent care, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline. Online sessions aren’t emergency services.
5) What happens in the first session?
We review your goals and history, clarify priorities, and co-create a short plan (3–5 action steps). You’ll leave knowing what to practice and when we’ll review progress.
6) How long is each session and how often should I attend?
60 minutes per session. Many clients start weekly or fortnightly, then taper as symptoms improve.
7) What are your fees?
USD30 / ₹2,500 per 60-minute individual session. Couples/organizational consults are quoted on request. Optional multi-session packages may be available.
8) Which languages do you offer?
English and Hindi.
9) Is it confidential? How is my data protected?
Yes. Sessions are private; notes are stored securely and shared only with your consent or when required by law (e.g., risk of harm).
10) Can I stay anonymous?
We need your real name and a valid contact method for safety and scheduling. Your information remains confidential.
11) Do you prescribe medication?
No. Psychologists don’t prescribe. If medication could help, we can coordinate a referral to a psychiatrist.
12) Will I get a diagnosis or therapy certificate?
We can provide a note/summary when appropriate. Formal diagnostic reports or certifications are offered only when clinically indicated and not in our scope.
13) Do you provide invoices/receipts?
Yes—receipts are available for reimbursement/accounting. Please request them during booking.
14) How do I book an online session?
Choose a slot → pay securely → receive your Zoom/phone link → attend the 60-min session → get your written plan.
15) What tech do I need?
A stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with camera/mic. Headphones help with privacy.
16) What is your reschedule/cancellation policy?
Please reschedule/cancel at least 12 hours in advance where possible. Late changes or no-shows may be chargeable.
17) Do you work with teens?
Yes, with parent/guardian consent for minors and when online care is appropriate. We’ll advise if in-person evaluation is better.
18) Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes. We focus on communication patterns, conflict de-escalation, and repair strategies. Joint and individual segments may be used.
19) Is hypnotherapy available?
Where clinically appropriate, hypnotherapy can be integrated into your plan—never as a stand-alone “quick fix,” always within agreed goals.
20) Do you provide between-session support?
You’ll receive brief check-ins or worksheets when needed. For urgent issues, please book a session; for emergencies, use local emergency services.
21) Are sessions recorded?
No. We don’t record therapy sessions.
22) Can I choose a male or female psychologist?
We try to honor preferences subject to availability. Please mention this during booking.
23) Do you offer organizational/ workplace services?
Yes—leadership coaching, burnout prevention, resilience and psychological-safety workshops, and stress audits for teams.
